
Stainless Steel Stud Bolts
Stainless Steel Studs are externally threaded fasteners without a head which can be used with two nuts on each side, switching a regular "nut & bolt" assembly. It is remarkable used in flange connections. There are different types of Stainless Steel Stud Bolt depending upon their design and threading patterns. Stainless Steel Stud Bolts is a piece of threaded bar which are designed to be permanently attached to one part by the means of attaching another part in conjunction with a nut. It can be welded, swaged or bonded to join it and can therefore, have a small head to allow this. SS 304 Stud Bolt is used in high pressure bolting situations for pipeline, drilling, petroleum / petrochemical refining and general industry for sealing and flange connections all thread. 316 Stainless Steel Stud Bolts contains molybdenum that gives it improved corrosion resistance. This is especially evident for pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride conditions. ASTM A193 Grade B8 Partially Threaded Stud is used in all types of applications. On the flat surface it can be welded, or inside or outside of an angle.
DIN 938 ASTM A193 B8M Fully Threaded Stud have no head and are threaded along their entire length, and it has a higher tensile strength. It is usually fastened with two nuts and used with an item that should be assembled and dissembled quickly. Stainless Steel 304 Threaded Stud Bolt is also called a tap-end stud. It has a nut at each end. It is a high grade to a specification and the nuts are larger than a conventional full nut. It is mainly used to bolt together pipe flanges in the chemical, oil and gas industries where strength, chemical resistance, accurate and precise positioning is needed. 316 SS Fully Threaded Studs is a fastener with threads running their entire length for full engagement of nuts or other female-threaded components. It provides high grip strength and evenly distributed tension when mounting and securing components. It is widely used in an application which needs superior corrosion resistance and provides greater strength and hardness. DIN 2510/ ISO 13918 SS Stud Bolt is mainly used in situations where partial voltage is applied and where durability of screw connections has to be extensively secured under different mechanical and thermal stress environments. DIN 939 Grade A4-70 Threaded Studs is suitable for use in a variety of general purpose applications, including electrical, plumbing, maintenance, and fabrication. 18-8 Stainless Steel metric Stud has unequal lengths of threads at each end and an unthreaded shoulder in-between. The short threaded end, the length of which is about 1.25 times the stud diameter, is the tap end and is available with an interference thread fit. Coarse machine screw threads are standard. Its length is specified as the nut end plus the unthreaded shoulder, not overall length like inch series studs.
