What is nickel alloy forged fittings?

Socket Weld is a pipe attachment detail in which a pipe is inserted into a recessed area of valve, fitting or flange. It is mainly used for small pipe diameters and generally for piping whose nominal diameter is NPS 2 or smaller. It is a good choice for high leakage integrity and great structural strength for important design considerations. It provides advantage to pipe by not need to be beveled for weld preparation. It can be used in place of threaded fittings, so the risk of leakage will be much lesser.  

Threaded fitting is the oldest method of joining piping systems. It is mainly used for small pipe diameters and generally for pipes whose nominal diameter is NPS 2 or smaller. It is generally used in low-cost, noncritical applications such as fire protection, domestic water, and industrial cooling water systems. It is usually made of cast brass or bronze, cast gray or malleable iron, or forged alloy and carbon steel. It is available in three pressure ratings i.e., Class 2000, 3000 and 6000.
