Hastelloy Alloy X is a nickel chromium molybdenum superalloy. It belongs to a family of alloys called the Hastelloy. It can perform well under high temperatures and pressures with very high corrosion resistance properties. The material is suitable for welding and forming operations under normal conditions. The alloy can perform well to resist oxidation and reduction even above 1200 degrees Celsius in environments such as the jet engine components. These properties of the Hastelloy X UNS N06002 make it used in many industries that operate under heavily oxidizing and high temperature environments. The alloy forms an oxide layer upon first exposure to the oxidizing atmosphere and the oxide layer acts as a barrier for further oxidation. The DIN 2.4665 material has lower density compared to the B2 and B3 versions of the Hastelloy. It has high thermal conductivity as well. The Hastelloy X price ranges greatly depending on the application requirement and the product type. We can offer a comprehensive price list. The material is also highly electrically conductive. The alloy is solution heat treated for strength and it can perform under cryogenic temperatures as well as high temperatures too. Hastelloy X density is 8.22 grams per centimeter cube. The applications of the material include gas turbine operations, industrial furnaces, structural components, petrochemical industries and other applications that require high temperature and corrosion resistant material. The Hastelloy X suppliers produce different products out of this material. The ideal products are pipes, bars, sheets, plates and fittings for pipes. The Hastelloy X chemical composition has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, iron, titanium, aluminum, cobalt, boron, copper and tungsten in it. The chemical composition is not matched with any other Hastelloy X equivalent from the Hastelloy family. But to achieve partial matching of some of the mechanical properties, the other variations of the Hastelloy might sometimes be used in place of this material.
