Hastelloy C22 Pipe is a variation of Hastelloy products. Hastelloy is a superalloy made up of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and tungsten. The pipes are made in different conditions. They could be cold drawn, hot rolled or electric resistance welded. The cold drawn ones are seamless. The Alloy C22 Seamless Pipe has high tolerance against most chemicals. The pipes have corrosion resistance against localized corrosion and uniform corrosion. This means that when welded, the ASTM B619 N06022 Welded Pipe will not corrode in the welded joints nor will it develop corrosion over time. The Hastelloy C22 Seamless Pipe is also has less absolute roughness number. This means the dimensions of the pipes are so precise that it could be used in sensitive applications like the chemical processing plants. The Alloy C22 Hastelloy Hot Finished Pipe is very much resistant against high heat. The thermal expansion rate of the pipes is very low and therefore the pipes remain in shape under high temperature fluctuations. The additions of tungsten and nickel guard against grain precipitation on the surfaces of the pipe.

The Alloy C22 Pipe can be used under sea water and other chloride rich environment. The material is resistant to chloride ion corrosion stress cracking. Because of this property, the ASME SB 622 N06022 Hastelloy Hollow Pipe can last longer under corrosive environments, becoming a cost effective alternative in a long run. The ASTM B619 C22 Hastelloy Round Pipe is the most used shape of the pipes. There are different shapes and sizes of ASTM B619 UNS N06022 C22 Pipes used in various industries. The round, square, rectangle and hexagonal are the most known types. The 2.4602 Hastelloy C-22 Square Pipe is used in applications where the liquid flow excerpts much pressure and the structural strength has to be retained throughout piping.
