Copper nickel alloys are high resistant to sea water. These alloys by standard should have 60 to 90% copper in them. The nickel content can be higher and there are alloys called Monel which contain a minimum of 52% nickel in them. The Copper Nickel alloy is silver in color regardless of the copper content.
