Copper brazing rod is a filler metal used to join copper alloys. These brazing rods
usually have low melting point than the base metal. when heated it fits perfectly
inside the pipe bevel for strong holding. Most common copper brazing rod types are
used in this article we will compare its specification, physical properties,
chemical composition, and mechanical properties.
| Brazing Materials | Uses |
|---|---|
| Copper-phosphorous rods | Mostly used in copper and copper alloy |
| Copper and copper-zinc | It is used to join copper and copper alloy |
| Nickel rods | Used for high heated places and corrosion resistence |
| Aluminium-silicon | Used in pure aluminium or aluminium alloy |
| Silver | Highly used for soldering |
